The video says it all. (** Brought to my attention by: Saphire-Hime **)
We parked at the Mishref Exhibition Grounds, waited for the other student who just bought a new Ducati Monster 695. It looks sweet “mashallah”, hope he enjoys it, but he was complaining that its too low to the ground, every time he goes over a speed bumb the exhaust pipe hits the bump and sparks. Kindah odd if you ask me, Id expect a bike to clear a normal bump.
Anyways, we drove around at the grounds, then took the 6th ring road direction no mans land. Within 30 mins both myself and the Ducati rider got lost. I stopped at the next gas station and called the instructor, and the Ducati Rider waited at the starting point… So it all worked out in the end.
My experience? Heh well the bike I was on can only go 100km/h, feels like your on a water log, that combined with the wind, more like playing Russian Roulette on a water log in a shark infested waters.
My bikes right blinker stopped working mid ride, and the right mirror keeps getting tilted down by the wind, as far as I’m concerned my trip was just plain suicidal. The helmet I wore was not so bad, but Id judge it to be a bit too large for me. The windscreen was not so clear, even though I wiped it clean as best as I could.
Bottom line: Not something I plan on doing again w/o my own gear, bike included, unless the next time I get to ride the Pulsar.
So my riding instructor calls me up, and asks if I’m ready for a field trip. *shrugs* As in ride the bike on the road for the 1st time. Hell sounds good to me heheh… 5:30pm today… should be fun.. especially in this heat. Looking forward to it.
