We’ve all known this for a long time, but I never really bothered to analyze it a bit more until today. (Its amazing how inspiring a Windows 2008 Server Installation screen can be) So I was looking at a job advert, and the many that followed it.

” Required for a construction company
• PIPE WELDER AND FABRICATOR
• ASSISTANT FOR THE ABOVE
• A/C DUCTER & ASSISTANT
• DUCT INSULATION TECHNICIAN
Send your CV’s to
FAX : 2448931″

The all follow the same format, and I just love those that say “for a leading Contracting Company.” But they never mention the name of the company. I mean… WTF is up with that?????

Why on earth would I bother to work for a company that hesitates to publish its name along with its crappy low pay job advert. Its like some big secret you know… GOD forbid the potential employee ever finds out to which company s/he is applying to.

Im not gonna furnish my private and personal information to some anonymous jack ass rip off company that cant even come clean with its own name. If the company feels a need to remain anonymous during its recruitment phase, then you know that there is something seriously wrong here.

But I’m sure the HR Management thought it to be very important to pretend that they were running some 007 Bond style agency where everything had to be “double blind”. To assure its corporate security.

WTF Kuwait? Traffic Cops with Maids?

Today I was heading to our corporate HQ on the bike, ambient temperature was about 33 C. Its hot but not that hot. So here is what happened.

Cue: Theme Song from Cruel Intentions

I ride past a traffic cop on the road. The window is split just enough for em to stick out his cig, the guy had a look on his face that said (*Fuck another boring work day*). He was parked in front a vehicle that had decided to violate our lovely traffic laws by parking on side of the road blocking an entire lane.

What was obviously an foreign labor (low wage) dude (Indian/Paki/Bengal etc.. by the looks of it) exits the cops vehicle, wearing a bright orange jump suit. He picks up a steel tire lock, and proceeds to mount it on the offending vehicles that are parked in that lane.

The only think that came to mind was “WTF????? Ya3nie 7ata el-shir6a be 7atunlehom khadam?” (Translates into wtf, even the cops get maids?)

What is our country coming too? When will the day come that every wealthy citizen will have his “Personal Assistant” to do our work for us? Heck I might as well hire one now, he can sit at my desk, do my daily job, while I chill at home and play World of Warcraft, at the end of the month Ill givem his KD45 from my paycheck. And thats it.

I thought I would never see a day such as this. Cops with Maids that do their work for them. Whats next?

Real Wisdom :: Rare

I just read something in a Paintball magazine I subscribed to. Normally I skip the “From the Editor” section of any and all magazines. I mean hey? Since when  do they have something interesting to say?

But I must say John took me by surprise, his statement rang so true to my heart it almost brought tears to my eyes. If anything my life would be a concrete example of what hes talking about. Im certainly going to teach this concept to my kids, and hopefully they will pass it on.

Quote: “Success is not luck, not who you

know, and it’s not where you grew up-it’s a

decision. If you decide to be successful,

you will be successful. This is it right

here.

1. Know you can do it.
2. Decide to do it.
3. Figure out how to do it.
4. Do it.

Stop talking about what you want do with

your life and go out and get it done. Its

your destiny and only you can stop it from

happening. ”
