Howto :: 100 push ups in six weeks

Posted on: 5th August 2008 by Kismat in gym, lifestyle

I’ve been meaning to blog this long ago, but I’ve been insanely busy with stuff recently. I ran across this neat nicely designed site that provides a simple training plan which should allow you to do 100 push ups within 6 weeks. Check it out!

if you’re serious about increasing your strength, follow this six week training program and you’ll soon be on your way to completing 100 consecutive push ups!

Think there’s no way you could do this? I think you can! All you need is a good plan, plenty of discipline and about 30 minutes a week to achive this goal!

No doubt some of you can already do 50 consecutive push ups, but let’s face it, you’re in a big minority. Most of you reading this won’t even be able to manage 20 pushups. Actually, I’m sure many of you can’t even do 10.

The Gym :: Day 1

Posted on: 2nd July 2007 by Kismat in gym

As if I didnt have enough to do already, I signed up to gym. Paid the membership one year in advance, hoping that this will force me to make the most of it, and actually dedicate myself to it. I started my work out at 5pm today.

The trainer started me off on the treadmill for 20mins, saying I should warm up first.

I figured I’d “walk” 10 mins, jog for 5mins, and walk for the last 5mins. Turns out thought that was more of a challenge than I expected. I was breaking out a real sweat during the 1st two minutes, walked 10 mins (though 5 mins through I set the pace to speed walk”) Jogged for 2mins (almost died), and walked the rest of the 7minutes.

Soon as the timer hit “0″ I slammed the STOP button, thinking YAY!!!! I survived…..

Soon as I stepped of the treadmill I felt “extremely light” so light in fact I thought I was walking in Zero Gravity.

Im not sure if this normal, but I didnt ask, nor bothered, just slowed down a bit, grabbed my towel, and wiped myself clean.

The trainer made me work on my upper body, mostly back, chest, and biceps. 3 x 10 reps of everything. 45 minutes later I walked out of the gym barely being able to life my arm. Im surprised I can still type atm.

It was good though, I’m sure Ill have no problems sleeping tonight… so for now Ill just go off and play Vanguard till its time to crash.
