Looks like the British University has research info that suggests drinks such as Fanta, Pepsi Max, Sprite, Dr Pepper, among other soft drinks with common preservatives have the ability to kill vital DNA cells.
It appears that the preservative E211 known as sodium benzoate, kills the power station of DNA cells, namely mitochondria. A DNA cell without its power station basically is switched off, or killed. To summarize all this into something that actually means something to us:
